Mikela “Mikky” Gassert

Mikela “Mikky” Gassert is an associate attorney at the firm who resolves workers’ compensation claims with empathy and zealous advocacy. She attended the University of Georgia as a “Double Dawg” where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2019, and her Juris Doctorate in 2022.
While in law school, Mikela became certified by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution as a licensed mediator through a practical mediation clinic. She also served on the school’s Journal of Intellectual Property and further as President of the Demosthenian Literary Society, a public speaking and debate organization dedicated to community building. Her favorite part of advocacy is a successful negotiation.

When Mikela is not advocating for her clients, she can be found travelling the world to commentate competitive Pokemon Trading Card game matches on the official tournament broadcast stream. These live broadcasts can reach 80,000 or more fans globally, culminating in the once-a-year World Championship tournament. Outside of competition, she enjoys baking sweet desserts and taking care of her pets.
