Rick Shinall is of counsel to the firm. He is a trial lawyer with a long record of successful litigation and mediation of complex workers’ compensation disputes. A native of Atlanta, Rick attended Georgia Tech and earned a B.A. in History at Emory University in 1974. He received his M.Ed. from Georgia State University in 1975. Rick taught History at Woodward Academy before returning to Emory University to receive his J.D. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1979. His past legal experience includes a vast range of litigation, both civil and criminal, transactional matters, corporate representation, and business law. He was a lecturer for several years in Business Law at Georgia Institute of Technology. He has been involved in significant appellate cases in the State of Georgia.
